I'm on a mexican radio...

... ok, I'm not. But I have been thinking about taking up the DJ again. There's an opening on one of the local stations here. Since it's public radio, I wouldn't be paid, but that's not the reason to do it... the reason is to get on air again. It's fun. I can admit that now. And I can even admit that I've missed it.

Eating barbequed iguana
I'd take requests on the telephone
I'm on a wavelength far from home"

Bless my soul...

Whatever happened to Saturday night
When you dressed up sharp and you felt alright?
It don't seem the same since cosmic light
Came into my life, I thought I was divine...

I used to go for a ride with a chick who'd go
And listen to the music on the radio
A saxophone was blowin' on a rock & roll show
You climbed in the back seat, you really had a good time!

Hot patootie, bless my soul, I really love that rock 'n' roll
Hot patootie, bless my soul, I really love that rock 'n' roll
Hot patootie, bless my soul, I really love that rock 'n' roll
Hot patootie, bless my soul, I really love that rock 'n' roll

(saxophone solo)

My head used to swim from the perfume I smelled
My hands kind of fumbled with her white plastic belt
I'd taste her baby pink lipstick and that's when I'd melt
She'd whisper in my ear tonight she really was mine

Get back in front, put some hair oil on
Buddy Holly was singing his very last song
With your arms around your girl you'd try to sing along
It felt pretty good, whoo!
You really had a good time!

(short sax solo)

Hotttt patoootie, I really love that rock n roll!
(Hot patootie, bless my soul, I really love that rock n roll)

Hotttt patoootie, I really love that rock n roll!
(Hot patootie, bless my soul, I really love that rock n roll)

Hotttt patoootie, I really love that rock n roll!
(Hot patootie, bless my soul, I really love that rock n roll)

Hotttt patoootie, I really love that rock n roll!
(Hot patootie, bless my soul, I really love that rock n roll)

Hotttt patoootie, I really love that rock n roll!
(Hot patootie, bless my soul, I really love that rock n roll)

Hotttt patoootie, I really love that rock n roll! Come on!

Maschine Brennt

Maschine Brennt vid.

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
rap it all up to the top and rap it up

ja man würde lachen ohne End

und wenn ich heute noch am Leben wär;
und everybody's on a comfort seat
Eine Dame ohne Herrn erkennt mich gleich,
sie meint: Rap it to the beat

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh - oho
Aus, stop, Moment - der letzte Engel rennt
Das ist kein Wunder, weil Maschine brennt

Rap it up, but ...
Cpt.

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh - oho
Aus, stop, Moment - der letzte Engel rennt
Das ist kein Wunder, weil - Maschine brennt

Der Absturz
Aus, stop, retour - wo is mei Fallschirm nur
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh - oho
Aus, stop, Moment - der letzte Engel rennt
Oh-oh-oh

Memoirs of a Valley Girl

Oh, Johnny, what's the deal, boy?
Is your love for real, boy?
When the lights are low
You never hold me close

And I saw you today, boy
Walking with the gay boys
God, it hurt me so
Now I gotta know
Johnny, are you queer?

Cuz when I see you
Dancing with your friends
I can't help wonderin
Where I stand!

I'm so afraid I'll lose you
If I can't seduce you!
Is there something wrong?
Johnny, come on strong!

Oh, why are you so weird, boy?
Johnny, are you queer, boy?
When I make a play
You're pushing me away...
Johnny, are you queer?

Cuz when I see you
Dancing with your friends
I can't help wondering
Where I stand!

Oh, Johnny, you're forsakin
A love you could be takin
I wanna give it to you
But you never come through...

Oh, why are you so weird, boy?
Johnny, are you queer boy?
When you asked for a date
I thought that you were straight...
But, Johnny, are you queer?

Chorus:
Hey, Johnny, are you queer, boy?
Johnny, are you queer, boy?
Johnny, are you queer, boy?

Spoken:
Hey, Johnny?
Johnny?
You know...?

Ohhhhh... (Johnny!) Johnny, are you queer, boy?
(Oh, Johnny!) Johnny, are you queer, boy?
(Oh, Johnnny...!) Johnny, are you queer, boy?

Johnny, are you queer, boy?

Johnny, are you queer, boy?

Johnny!

Ah, the Valley Girl soundtrack certainly brings back memories. Good memories... such as a young Nick Cage standing on a beach...

God, I miss the beach.

Heh.
